Good morning Radicals! We got a new FOO FIGHTERS trailer for the HBO special SONIC HIGHWAYS. In it, frontman DAVE GROHL talks about his attraction to outsiders, while clips play of the many familiar and famous faces co-starring in the show. We also get to hear a bit of a new Foo’s song, apparently called “Feast & Famine.” The show premiers next Friday, the 17th, at 11pm. Set your DVR’s!
PAPA ROACH are preparing to release their next album, “F.E.A.R” on January 27th! F.E.A.R. stands for “Face Everything And Rise, BTW. (BTW stands for by the way, FYI.) Anywho, the album was recorded at The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas. Must have been difficult to record in Sin City for frontman Jacoby Shaddix, who’s committed to sobriety for a few years now.
former hardDriveLive Tour headliners BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE are working on a new album as well, looking for an early 2015 release. Frontman Matt Tuck says of the recording schedule, they “should be ready to start in the next month or so.” He also said “It’s an absolute monster so far.” (Thanks Blabbermouth!) Speaking with Pulse of Radio earlier, he explained the more melodic direction of the last two albums: “The big thing that we’ve learned is, like, you’re not gonna please everyone all the time,” he said. “As long as you do what you want to do and the band is happy and you feel you haven’t given away your integrity, you know, I don’t really care if people go, ‘Oh, it’s not metal enough, it’s not heavy enough.’ It’s like, that’s not what we are.” For anyone who think they may have lost their metal chops, check out “Raising Hell,” released last November.
Happy Birthday to Sharon Osbourne, Terry Balsamo of Evanescence, Pacific Rim & Hellboy 1 & 2 director Guillermo Del Toro and the late, great John Lennon!
