It’s this time of year that a lot of kids are looking for summer jobs. I think my summer job after graduating high school has to be the weirdest. I made paper mache deer heads at a local taxidermist. Bam! Top that! Go to our Facebook or call it in toll free 877-MUSIC-11 and let us know yours!…..Linkin Park’s Brad Delson will be on the hotLine today. Haven’t talked to him for a long while, so it should be fun catching up. Man, I realized hardDrive was there when these guys were just starting out. Amazing to see their growth both as a band and as people. And they are the most down to earth folks you’d ever want to meet. Can’t wait to hear how their Download performance was when they performed Hybrid Theory in it’s entirety. Look for them tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live!…..Tonight I will get to see Nothing More perform at Webster Hall. Jonny, Mark, Daniel and Paul dropped by the hardDriveRadio studios to perform “This Is The Time (Ballast)” and “I’ll Be Ok.” The videos will be ready in the coming weeks. Nothing More is about to crack the rock radio Top Five with “This Is The Time (Ballast),” the first single from the group’s upcoming self-titled debut. The disc is out Tuesday (June 24th) and we asked bassist Daniel Oliver what it’s like to already be on tour before the record arrives: “I don’t know, it’s kind of cool, you know, just to be out and kind of be building this anticipation so when the record finally drops, you know, people have heard the song and maybe heard some things leaked on YouTube or something like that. I don’t know, it’s a neat feeling, the buzz happening before the record drops, for sure.”…Lou Brutus is packing his bags to head to Bridgeview, IL to attend the Full Throttle Festival and hang with Halestorm. The band is almost finished making their 3rd album. They’ve been performing songs from it already, “Mayhem” and “Heartbreaker.” Be listening for a new interview with the band on the shows soon….So the new Korn single “Hater” is out today. Spoke with Jonathan Davis about it. He said he track is a direct rebuttal to the kind of person described in the title of the song: “Everybody has a hater. Everybody has someone that hates on you because you have something they want. And it’s really, like, the first empowering song I’ve ever wrote where it’s just blatantly telling you — I mean, the lyrics are: ‘You can’t bring me down/I’ve already had my life turned upside down/I ride a downward spiral round and round/But I keep flying, I keep fighting/You’ll never bring me down.’ That’s like the most positive s*** I’ve ever wrote. And it’s so different. Everyone that’s heard it loves it.”. You can hear it this weekend on the World Famous hardDrive!….I saw this online yesterday, that Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor told Live Metal in a recent interview that he wanted to bring together four bands that wear either masks or make-up — his own act, plus Mudvayne, Gwar and Mushroomhead — for one mega-tour of masked rockers. Taylor explained, “I’m working on that . . . honestly. It probably won’t happen right away, just because (Slipknot’s) been gone for awhile and we have all these changes, and we’ve got a new album coming out. So we want to kinda take the first six or seven months and just kind of re-establish ourselves.” But it is MY hope they take Of Mice & Men out with them. Just putting it out there. Who would you like to see?….Speaking of Korn, Happy 44th to Brian “Head” Welch and Happy 64th to Ann Wilson of Heart!
