Let’s all vibe on rain for our California, Arizona and Nevada peeps. Those wildfires are out of freakin’ control!! When I lived in Cali, when the temps got that hot, we always said it was “earthquake weather.” Let’s hope THAT doesn’t happen, eh?

The band will be performing music from all three acts. See Road Rage for all the dates.
The Pulse Of Radio says Bush has teamed with People.com and the UN Refugee Agency for the premiere of “People At War,” a video that honors World Refugee Day and a new petition circulating online with the hashtag #WithRefugees. Frontman Gavin Rossdale said, “We made this video to raise awareness about the terrible plight of refugees across the world. These are people who are forced to flee their homes for fear of violence, persecution and death.”
Rossdale asks fans to visit www.unhcr.org/bush and sign the #WithRefugees petition that asks governments to work together to help.
Bush’s latest album, Man On The Run, was released in Oct 2014. It followed up Bush’s 2011 comeback effort, The Sea Of Memories, which was the first all-new Bush album in a decade. Rossdale has been in the news for much of the past year due to his split with wife Gwen Stefani, who left her husband of 13 years after she allegedly discovered he was having an affair with their three sons’ nanny.
Ok, so everyone is scratching their heads about the news Robert Plant has declined the offer to invite Led Zeppelin to perform at this October’s Desert Trip festival in Indio, CA. It’s been reported the band was offered $14 million to play the two reunion performances. Ya know, I can understand why. Robert’s voice isn’t what it used to be. He simply can’t hit those high notes any more, and I guess he doesn’t want to look bad on stage. I mean, he could have the tunes re-arranged so he could sing in a lower register, but if he wants the “song to remain the same,” I guess he just wants fans to remember “laughter.” (Play on lyrics here, folks! lol) But I wonder, the rest of the band could still do these shows with another singer if they really wanted. Hmmmm. But would they? I mean, did anyone see Jason Bonham‘s Led Zeppelin Experience set at Rock on the Range a few years ago? For this original Zeppelin fan, it was amazing! I am sure there are thousands of fans who would be happy to see 3/4’s of the original band. Just sayin’! Wonder what Jimmy Page is thinking?
Linkin Park‘s Chester Bennington and members of Nine Inch Nails, Ozzy Osbourne‘s band, Queens Of The Stone Age and more all performed last Tuesday night (Jun 14th) in Los Angeles with the Hellcat Saints, a covers act created by Velvet Revolver guitarist Dave Kushner. Among the songs performed were Stone Temple Pilots‘ “Down,” Alice In Chains‘ “Them Bones,” Guns N’ Roses‘ “Paradise City” and Black Sabbath‘s “Hole In The Sky.” Fan-filmed video footage of the event has been posted online. (Thanks Blabbermouth!)
Rolling Stone reports Marilyn Manson is featured in a trailer for the new film Let Me Make You A Martyr, which will premiere at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal next month. The crime movie about an abusive father features Manson playing a Native American hit man named Pope. Manson said about the film, “It was the biggest role that I’ve played. On the script, I’d say I was on half of the pages. I don’t know how the movie will end up though.”
Well, our friends in Islander have posted a video for their new single, “Bad Guy.” Arin Illejay has been confirmed as their new drummer. Arin was most recently with Avenged Sevenfold. Look for Islander’s new album Power Under Control our Aug 05th.
“‘Bad Guy’ is a song about speaking the truth, telling someone something that they need to hear even though it may not be what that person wants to hear. This song is the response to [previously released] ‘Darkness’,” explains vocalist Mikey Carvajal.
Carvajal goes on to note that “The songs on Power Under Control are meant to be listened to together in the same way that a book is to be read. If someone were to skip the chapters in a book, the story may be exciting, but a lot of the meanings would be lost.”
The founding Islander member and vocalist was joined by Love And Death wunderkind guitarist J.R. Bareis in 2015, leading the band on a powerful new path. The seeds of this relationship were planted during 2014’s Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, when word of Islander‘s performances quickly spread to the tour’s headliners Avenged Sevenfold and Korn — who flocked to watch the band almost daily. Bareis, who was then guitar tech for Korn’s Brian “Head” Welch, soon found himself in the role as Islander‘s new guitar player. Shortly thereafter, Islander recruited bassist Zeke Vasquez (ex-Foreveratlast), and after a couple revolving seats behind the drum throne, newly exited A7X skinsman Arin Ilejay became a permanent fixture snapping sticks and cymbals behind the kit.
Islander will immediately hit the road in support of the album, kicking things off at the Chicago Open Air pre-party on Jul 14. Additional dates will soon be announced.
And finally today, the History Channel has posted a new trailer for the new Jack & Ozzy Osbourne series, “Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour.” The series starts Wednesday night, Jul 27th. It looks like the male version of The Osbournes! LOL Meanwhile, even though it’s been said Ozzy is living back in his home in LA, I heard Sharon did not speak to Ozzy while Black Sabbath was at Download in England a few weeks ago. The cold shoulder must be killing Ozzy!
