Poor Lzzy Hale of Halestorm! She is suffering from exhaustion and the band was forced to cancel their final three shows on the Carnival of Madness Tour. If you know anything about this band, you know they are hard working, fan attentive and Lzzy has the voice of 3 singers! They do in-studio performances or before show promotions, interviews and the like. At EVERY stop of the tour. They’ve been to Europe at least twice in the past 10 months and they just don’t quit. Plus she does her ASK LZZY segments for our shows and her column in Revolver. You’d suffer from exhaustion, too! I feel sorry for the fans in Reno, Spokane and Vancouver, but they’ll make it up to ya! Feel better soon, Lzzy! We love you!
Pulse Of Radio reports photos taken of Dave Grohl in London for the first time since the Foo Fighters frontman broke his leg in a stage fall in Sweden have surfaced online, according to NME. The pictures show Grohl walking out of his London hotel on crutches with his injured leg in a cast. He was also seen being pushed around by wife Jordyn Blum in a wheelchair earlier in the day. The couple are traveling with their three daughters, Violet Maye, Harper Willow and Ophelia Saint.
Grohl fractured his leg after falling from the stage on Friday night (June 12th) in Gothenburg, Sweden. The two following concerts in Switzerland and the Netherlands were immediately canceled. So far the band’s next show — a headlining date this Friday (June 19th) at London’s massive Wembley Stadium — remains on the schedule.
- The frontman took his tumble during the Gothenburg set after missing a ramp and falling into the gap between the stage and audience.
- A statement released by the band has since confirmed that Grohl suffered at least one fracture in his leg. After being temporarily patched up by on-site medical personnel, he returned to the stage to finish the show in a chair.
- The statement added that the “full extent of Dave’s injuries are still being determined.”
- Foo Fighters are scheduled to kick off a massive North America tour in Washington D.C. on July 4th, the 20th anniversary of the release of the band’s first album.OUCH!Pulse OF Radio also reporting AC/DC is among the 10 artists who will be inducted into The Age Music Victoria Hall Of Fame at the Age Music Victoria Awards, which will be celebrated on November 20th with a concert at the Palais Theatre in Victoria, Australia. The Victoria Awards are the largest publicly voted awards in Australia, with honors in categories across all genres voted via The Ageonline.AC/DC guitarist Angus Young said of the induction, “Victoria has a special place in our hearts, especially the early years of the band. Thank you for the induction into The Age Music Victoria Hall Of Fame. It’s an honor.”
Blabbermouth reports Metallica guitarists James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett performed the National Anthem on Sunday (June 14th) during Game 5 of the NBA Finals featuring San Francisco’s Golden State Warriors. Prior to the event, Metallica said in a statement, “By now we’re guessing that you’ve noticed that we like to support our home sports teams . . . GO DUBS!” The Warriors won, making it a 3-2 series heading into Tuesday’s (June 16th) Game 6. Watch here.
OK, so if you haven’t yet seen the season finale of Game of Thrones, this next item is a spoiler and you need to leave this page now. Good bye! I’ll leave space so don’t glance down……
Pulse of Radio posted Sunday’s (June 14th) season finale of Game of Thrones did not sit well with many fans (including ME!) Social media blew up following the episode with reactions to the death of Kit Harington’s character, Jon Snow.
Kit did little to comfort everyone when he confirmed his exit to Entertainment Weekly saying, “This is my understanding of it. I had a sit-down with Dan and David, we did the Tony Soprano walk. And they said, ‘Look, you’re gone, it’s done.’…Quite honestly, I have never been told the future of things in this show, but this is the one time I have. They sat me down and said, ‘This is how it is.’ If anything in the future is not like that, then I don’t know about it — it’s only in David and Dan and George’s heads. But I’ve been told I’m dead. I’m dead. I’m not coming back next season. So that’s all I can tell you, really.”
- There is a theory making the rounds online that the character may get resurrected. (That’s my hope that he comes back first as the wolf, Ghost!)
- George R.R. Martin recently told Entertainment Weekly regarding his books, “If there’s one thing we know in A Song of Ice and Fire is that death is not necessarily permanent.”
