Here it is from Pulse Of Radio! AC/DC played its first North American show in five years on Friday night (April 10th), headlining the Coachella Festival in Indio, CA. AC/DC’s 20-song set kicked off with “Hell Ain’t A Bad Place To Be,” featured three songs from the band’s latest album, Rock Or Bust — the title track, “Play Ball” and “Baptism By Fire” — and ended with the band’s staple show closer, “For Those About To Rock.” Singer Brian Johnson spoke with the Los Angeles Times last week just ahead of the band’s headlining performance this past weekend at Indio, California’s Coachella Festival. He told the newspaper how the band has managed to deal with all its recent setbacks, including guitarist Malcolm Young retiring due to the onset of dementia and drummer Phil Rudd being arrested on charges of drug possession and threatening to kill. Johnson explained, “You pick yourself up, dust yourself down and just keep going. You live on, and you have a wonderful memory of them always with you, but you’re not going to stop doing what you do. Otherwise, you die inside, you know? And we would die — I would, if I didn’t do what I was doing. There’d be nothing. I’d just be another guy looking for a hobby.” Guitarist Angus Young told us it was his brother Malcolm himself who insisted that the band carry on: “Mal himself, you know, he said, ‘You do it,’ you know. It was his baby in the beginning. It was his whole idea, even what music do we play — you know, rock music. So it was pretty much he himself that said, ‘You do it.’” Angus and Malcolm’s nephew Stevie Young is now playing guitar, while drummer Chris Slade will be behind the kit touring with the group. Rudd’s court date is set for April 21st in New Zealand. The drummer will face a judge-alone trail, meaning no jury will be present during the presentation of his case. AC/DC will kick off a 2015 North American summer tour on August 22nd in Foxborough, MA, wrapping on September 28th in Los Angeles. Listen their set here. And set list:

Good stuff…..Three Days Grace is replacing Bush at Rock Fest in Cadott, WI. Bush said in a statement, “Bush is incredibly disappointed to cancel their July 17th appearance at the upcoming Rock Fest, but an unforeseen schedule conflict prevents them from performing. The members of Bush sincerely apologize for any disappointment caused & look forward to seeing their Wisconsin-based fans as soon as possible.“….Stone Temple Pilots guitarist Dean DeLeo spoke with the Orange County Register about the band’s decision to dismiss singerScott Weiland in 2013 and replace him with Linkin Park‘s Chester Bennington. DeLeo explained, “Robert (DeLeo, bass), Eric(Kretz, drums), Scott and I had put 25 years of our lives into it. Just because I had one guy that didn’t really give a s**t anymore, I’m not going to let one guy ruin my dream, my band and my legacy. I worked hard for Stone Temple Pilots and I love it with a passion. Robert, Eric and I don’t take for granted what the music has meant to people.” DeLeo added, “I just want to be really clear about something. We were never, in any way, trying to just replace anyone. In his day, and I’m speaking of Scott, there was no one better . . . no one. I will take that to my grave. In his day, there was no one better, but my dear Scott left us long ago.” Dean DeLeo told us a while back the remaining members of STP did not want to diminish what the original group achieved: “We are very aware of what the four of us created together. When the four of us were together and we made records and we made music, the end result was pretty good. I was usually pretty satisfied with it. But getting there was miserable. But you know, I’m very proud and very honored to have made these musical contributions with the four of us, and I think it’s important that we recognize that, you know.” Meanwhile, the band is working on new music and a new single is just around the bend. I’m hearing an album in the fall…Blabbermouth reports Stone Sour has unveiled clips of two songs from its upcoming covers EP, Meanwhile In Burbank….
