KORN has released a new song called “So Unfair,” written about singer JONATHAN DAVIS‘s youngest son, who has type 1 diabetes. By donating to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund HERE, you can download the song as a reward. Plus, you’re helping to find research on combating juvenile diabetes, so it’s a great cause! Anyone who donates will also be entered to win a grand prize of a rip out to California to record a song with Korn! Awesome!
SEETHER has announced the details of the third Rise Above Fest, which will take place on Saturday, May 9th, 2015 at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Maine. Joining Seether at the event will be Godsmack, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, Papa Roach, All That Remains, Butcher Babies and more to be announced. Proceeds from the show will go to Suicide Awareness Voices of Education (SAVE), one of the leading national not-for profit organizations dedicated to raising awareness and educating the public about mental health and suicide prevention.
Seether frontman Shaun Morgan told Pulse of Radio why he thinks this Rise Above Fest will be bigger than the first two: “I really think there’s gonna be a lot more turnout, just judging basically by the bands that are gonna be on the bill. I think the bands that are on this year are certainly of a very high caliber and a very high standard — not that last year or the year before were not — but I think we’ve just got bigger names involved now.” Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning this Friday, December 12th at 10:00 AM at riseabovefest.com.
