Happy Black Friday! In America, we call it that because for some people, who think they are getting crazy amazing deals that won’t be available at any other time before Xmas, must get up at like 4 AM to go out to the malls. I have never, will never EVER do that. It’s nuts! But yes, millions of people are out there this morning? Me? I’m going to the office! LOL…..Not a ton of news, but here’s what I got. I was sorta shocked on Wednesday afternoon when hardDrive XL‘s Bill Powell showed me this news coming in from TMZ. Now, I am not one of those people who looks at that site, and it is usually against my credo of no sensationalism, rumor or innuendo here, but THIS is just downright sad. Scott Stapp of Creed posted a long, sad story online about his current state of affairs. He is homeless and broke, and apparently is now in a psych ward in a hospital somewhere in Madison County, Florida (outside of Tallahassee) citing people who were handling his business affairs have robbed him of everything, plus believes he’s a marked man, and his wife says he hears voices and worries his kid will get attacked by ISIS.
Meanwhile, his wife Jaclyn is divorcing him, citing drug abuse, and his former band barely wants anything to do with him. It’s pretty sad. He needs help. Check out the whole sad story here.….Meanwhile, over in the Megadeth camp, I guess when it rains, it pours! Guitarist Chris Broderick and drummer Shawn Drover have both left the band to pursue other interests. And then today comes news the body of Dave Mustaine‘s missing mother-in-law was found after she was reported missing from a campsite on Oct 4th in Arizona. She had been suffering from advanced stages of Alzheimers and apparently wandered away. Sad state of affairs for Mustaine right now…..Did you see Kiss yesterday in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? I thought the cheerleaders were great!…..Tonight, Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways features the Seattle episode. We’ll hear one of the first songs Dave Grohl wrote in 1992. Should be a lot on Nirvana, too. These HBO episodes have been great! I wish they’d go on forever, spotlighting music in every major city in the U.S. and then THE WORLD! Come on, Dave! Keep it going! No doubt, he’ll get an Emmy nomination!…..Have a great weekend! See ya Monday. BTW: On Tuesday, The Pretty Reckless, who are destined to have the Number One rock song for 2014, will be in the hardDrive studios! Taylor Momsen said she wanted to re-do the acoustic performances they did back in the spring. No problem, Taylor, come on it! And while you’re at it, will ya bring me one of those cool tops you are making with the cross on them! I want one! LOL
