Happy Hump Day! Pulse Of Radio reports Linkin Park will be inducted into Guitar Center’s historic RockWalk, located in front of the longtime music retailer’s main store on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The private, invite-only induction ceremony is set to take place on Wednesday, June 18th at noon PT, one day after the June 17th release of the band’s sixth album, The Hunting Party. Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington said, “We’re honored to have our music recognized by our peers. But to be added to Guitar Center’s RockWalk on Sunset Boulevard, right where we started, is pretty surreal. We’re really grateful to be here alongside so many of the artists that inspired us.” Guitar Center’s RockWalk is dedicated to honoring those artists who have made a significant impact and lasting contribution to the growth and evolution of rock ‘n’ roll, blues and R&B…. Hellyeah‘s fourth studio album, Blood For Blood, is now available for streaming in its entirety online. This is the first album in the band’s career that has not been produced by drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott, who turned the reins over to producer Kevin Churko. Vinnie told us why he decided to step away from the recording console this time: “Not to have to be in the studio 16 to 18 hours, especially after doing all the pre-production and being the engineer, the producer, the mixer, the masterer, you know, all the stuff that comes along with it that I’ve been a part of in the past — I was really excited about just giving that off to him and just being basically the drummer and kind of an outside ear to give my, you know, input from time to time as it came along.” Blood For Blood comes out next Tuesday (June 10th). Kevin Churko has previously worked with Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch and In This Moment, among others. Hellyeah will play various festival dates over the summer before heading out on a North American tour in September as special guests of Five Finger Death Punch and Volbeat. Chad Gray and Tom Maxwell will drop by the hardDriveRadio studios on Monday. Check out the stream here. “Moth” is my favorite!!! ….Slash has launched a new web series called “Ask Slash” in which he answers fan questions about his upcoming new album, World On Fire. The third installment has been posted online now. (audio needs a boost) World On Fire is due out on September 16th and is the second Slash solo effort to feature his touring band, Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators. In other news, Slash and Kennedy played five songs on Monday night (June 1st) at the House of Parliament in London as part of a program to bring music to the British seat of government. I’ll have Slash on the hotLine on Monday. (Hennemusic/Metal Hammer)….Tuesday, there will be a listening party for journalists and radio folk here in NYC for the new Godsmack album, 1000HP.
