Pulse of Radio reports Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch has been forced to miss some of the shows on the band’s current Russian tour after being diagnosed with kidney stones. Welch wrote at his Facebook page on Monday night (May 19th), “I’m in hospital for a few days. So sorry, Russia, I can’t be at a few shows. I have kidney stone. Thank you SO MUCH for your understanding, well wishes, prayers and love. I am very touched by your hearts in my situation.” His 19-yr old guitar tech and guitarist for his other band, Love and Death, J.R. Baresi, has been filling in. Here’s a video Brian posted from the hospital. I sent him a note. Dunno what’s worse. Loudwire reports two members of Black Veil Brides have ended up being featured on an episode of the reality TV series Bondi Rescue, which focuse on lifeguards patrolling Bondi Beach near Sydney, Australia. The ninth season finale centered around an incident involving Black Veil Brides guitarists Jake Pitts and Jinxx. The pair apparently ventured out for a swim in the choppy waters off the beach and had trouble getting back, with Jinxx in real danger of drowning. The lifeguard who first went out to help them mistook them for girls, saying, “I had just come from a rescue at the other end of the beach and two girls (were) in trouble . . . as I got closer I realized they were actually guys (with) long hair.” Pitts was able to make it back without any help, saying, “I know how to handle the water, that’s why you didn’t see me getting rescued on the surfboard. I know how to do everything. I can build houses, I can surf, I can play music, I’ll do everything. That’s not a lie either, I can do it all.” Black Veil Brides is currently in the midst of recording its fourth album, which will follow up last year’s Wretched And Divine: The Story Of The Wild Ones. Meanwhile, Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack has released the debut song under his new solo project name, Andy Black. The track, “They Don’t Need To Understand,” premiered on Monday (May 19th) with an accompanying music video. Biersack unveiled the project last week, calling it a “fun and artistic way for me to try something that musically I wouldn’t want to force into Black Veil Brides.”….Linkin Park is inviting music journalists to their LA rehearsal space on Friday to play their album and discuss the creative process!
