Soundgarden and Nine Inch Nails both posted interesting montages on their Instagrams. Antiquiet.com speculates this may mean these two bands could be ready to announce a double bill to hit sheds this summer. Interesting to note, both bands released albums 20 years ago on March 15th (happens to be a Sunday this year) with Superunknown (Soundgarden’s 4th album) and NIN’s The Downward Spiral, their second. Meanwhile, Soundgarden is performing this weekend at SXSW in Austin. Incidently, SXSW made news yesterday when during their Interactive portion of the 9-day festival, they had two Skype sessions: one with Wikileaks Julian Assange and one with exiled NSA employee Edward Snowden. Wow. And this week, Jay Z & Kanye West will perform together, and Lady Gaga is doing the keynote speech to open the music festival. I was there last year, asked to be on a radio panel. It was fun, but exhausting. Too many bands, too many events, not enough tickets for anything and no cabs after 3 am. LOL….Congrats to Taylor Momsen, Ben Phillips and The Pretty Reckless who hit the Number One slot as the most played rock song of the week with “Heaven Knows.” The band’s album, Going To Hell, drops next Tuesday (Mar 18th.)….Today, I will be on the hotLine with Shaun Morgan of Seether and Sweden’s Avatar will drop by the hardDriveRadio studios….Happy 50th to Vinnie Paul Abbott of Pantera and Hellyeah!
