What?? Another cyber-sale day! I can’t spend any more money! ARGH!
Well, surprise, surprise! Not only did I get invited to see Foo Fighters and Royal Blood at CitiField on Thursday, turns out a girl’s dream has come true! I will be interviewing Mr Grohl backstage at the field! OH HAPPY DAY! SO, for you, our loyal readers and listeners, what would you like me to ask Dave, supreme leader of all things Foo Fighters? You can send ’em to me via the interact link on the home page RIGHT NOW or you can use the Interact Live section of the new hardDriveRadio APP. Come on, do it! You know you have something you’d like to know from Dave. Give it to me! Appears since I am there, I will also get a chance to finally meet Royal Blood and talk to the boys in person.Send in questions for them as well! Needless to say, the 18 year old in me is FREAKING OUT!
And just to remind you what a freakin’ cool dude Dave is, a fan got his birthday wish granted by the band recently at their gig in Toronto. 18-year-old Anthony Bifolchi attended the show with a sign that read, “It’s my birthday, can I play drums?” Frontman Dave Grohl spotted the sign and invited him up onstage, joking, “If you suck on the drums, I will personally tar and feather your ass backstage.” Although Bifolchi wanted to play “Best Of You,” the band had “Big Me” next on the set list and Bifolchi managed to hold his own. He hugged each member of the band before returning to his seat. Watch it here.
Meanwhile, we’re getting Lou Brutus all ready to head off to Chippewa Valley’s RockFest in Cadott, WI this weekend! He’ll be talking to many of the bands, including all of the headliners, Shinedown, Judas Priest, Godsmack and Avenged Sevenfold! So we will get the low-down from all! Especially interested in hearing what the A7X boys are up to, aren’t you? Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Pop Evil, Starset, Finger Eleven, Killswitch Engage are just a handful of others Lou will sit down with, so expect a ton of new interviews for hardDrive and hardDrive XL in the coming weeks! Psyched!
So looks like our next hardDriveRadio APP Chat will be with Adam Gontier and Mike Mushok of Saint Asonia! Mark your calendars! And again, special thank you to Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides for his participation in the app chat on Saturday. You all came out in full force. Thanks for being the hardDriveRadio Radicals that you are!

A string of new dates for the fall is on the agenda for Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. See Road Rage! He also recently launched a FanBacked fundraising page for his upcoming horror movie The Hell Within, which will be produced by the guitarist under his SlashFiction banner. Rewards offered to investors include private screenings, premiere tickets, film scoring sessions with Slash, set visits, personal production update calls from Slash and, for $2,500, a “Corpse Cameo,” in which a fan’s face will be on a corpse in the film.
.Pulse Of Radio reporting today Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor is reportedly working on a rock opera based on the cult novel and film Fight Club with the book’s author, Chuck Palahniuk, and the director of the 1999 film version, David Fincher. According to The Playlist, also involved in the project is director Julie Taymor, who directed the Broadway version of The Lion King and was the first director for the notorious Broadway production Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. Palahniuk tweeted the news last week while at San Diego’s Comic-Con event. Reznor has scored Fincher’s last three films — The Social Network, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl — and was at one time considered to score the film version of Fight Club. Should be interesting.
