YEAH BABY!  We'll  have a flyaway contest coming later this year, too!….Shinedown have posted 4 song samples from their forthcoming "Amaryliss"  album, due Mar 27th.  Hit www.shinedown.com for them and see the artwork,  which reminds me of the work the dude that does Mastodon's art, actually.  Can't wait to hear the whole thing…..Brian Johnson of AC/DC was 32 in a pack of 59 racers in the Daytona Rolex 24 Race last Saturday down in Florida.  He did end up raising a lot of money for his charity, the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer.  Good on ya, son! ….A City Council member in Birmingham, England has called on the council to create a "Black Sabbath Day" in honor of the band, which formed in the industrial city in the late Sixties. According to the Birmingham Post, council member Philip Parkin brought up the idea in a report titled "Destination Birmingham," saying, "Black Sabbath's reunion and their agreement to headline Download Festival in June is an opportunity we should not miss. Early discussions are taking place about how best the city should celebrate this and the council should be supporting any celebrations . . . we need to celebrate the fact these people come from Birmingham and there could be various ways we could do it."
