Happy Wednesday! In case ya haven’t noticed, we’ve rebuilt the site. Hope ya like the changes! And also hope you’ve reset your password if you are a hardDriveRadio Radical! Even if you aren’t, and why wouldn’t you be???, get over to the home page to log in (see INTERACT on top bar.)…First of all, tomorrow at 4:30 PM ET, our friends Halestorm will be doing the global album premiere for the vinyl version of their “The Strange Case of..” album over at LiveStream. They’ll also be texting and chatting during the session (not on screen though, sorry.) Hit this link ….Over at Black Stone Cherry’s website, they posted a story that either did or didn’t fool fans on April 1st. They said their next album would be a death metal endeavor. Somehow, I dunno if anyone bought that one, but it was funny to read. John Fred will be on the hotLine with Lou Brutus today for airing on an upcoming show, so be listening for him. I know the guys are bummed the Sonicsphere Festival date for the UK was cancelled this year. Economy is bad over in Europe. Hope things start to look up…. Green Day will induct Guns N’ Roses into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I guess Keith Richards wasn’t available after all. Green Day will probably perform GNR tunes. What a travesty! I mean, it just sucks GNR can’t all get along with Axl, who can’t seem to man up to resolve whatever stupid issues he has with the former members. Whatever…..Yesterday I told you about Godsmack and their new single is a cover song. Turns out a 4 song bonus set of cover tunes recorded in Boston will appear on the band’s upcoming “Live & Inspired” album due this spring. Meanwhile, I will give you a hint that the new Godsmack cover is also a song Black Stone Cherry had in one of their sets recently…..And because we all love covers so, look forward to Foo Fighters, Bob Seger, My Morning Jacket and Keith Urban to appear on a new John Fogerty album, resurrecting Credence Clearwater classic tunes…..Sad news to share about Seth Binzer, aka Shifty Shellshock, formerly frontman for Crazy Town. (Remember they had that one song “Butterfly”? “Come my lady, come come my lady…” were the opening lines?) Anyhow, poor Shifty is in a coma in an undisclosed LA hospital. Most recently, he had been charged with cocaine possession and battery for assaulting his girlfriend. He’s also appeared on episodes of “Celebrity Rehab” and “Sober House.” He’s 37. Sad….Happy 41st today to Buckcherry’s Josh Todd and Happy 34th to Killswitch Engage’s Adam D.
