.Good day! Well, the past 24 hours we turned back the clock to winter! Of course, wind, rain, sleet, snow. And it is all because I planted the flowers on the stoop fo my apartment building and washed my windows over the weekend. OF COURSE! Yes, I am that person who gets their car washed and it rains……Well, it’s getting to be busy around here, what else is new! Today I have Troy Sanders from Mastodon on the hotLine and prepping for two interviews tomorrow. Finishing scripts for Lou Brutus. My Pulse of Radio cohort and co-conspirator Don is speaking with Rob Zombie, who’s new The Zombie Horror Picture Show DVD is set for release May 20th. It’s his first live concert film and if you’ve never seen a live Rob Zombie show, this will be something you definitely should get your hands on! Robots, LED light show, special effects, lots of boob flashing from the ladies in the audience and the skillz of showman Rob, John 5, Piggy D and Ginger Fish in full blown action! A photo book by photographer Rob Fenn will be published as a companion piece to the Blu-ray and DVD. The Zombie Horror Picture Show will feature footage filmed during stops on last year’s Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival tour in Houston on August 3rd, 2013 and Dallas on August 4th. Meanwhile, I am coming up with new contests for you to enter including that DVD, a Powerman 5000 guitar grab, and a trip for two to Las Vegas to see the opening night of the Soundgarden-Nine Inch Nails tour. Oh yeah, we’re busy! I’m also working up a contest to send you off to hang out with Lou Brutus at the Cadott, WI Rockfest in mid July! More great contests coming too, so if you are NOT a hardDriveRadio Radical, what the hell are you thinking? Get over to the home page and register NOW! (Must be a US citizen)…..Meanwhile, there is no truth to the online rumor started by supposed sources close to the band that AC/DC was about to announce their retirement due to a serious health issue with Malcolm Young. Metal Hammer reports today on an article that ran in England’s Telegraph. AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson gave the paper an exclusive interview. And my diligent friend at Blabbermouth found a report from Italy where Brian also said the band was heading into the studio in Vancouver next month, So please check these two links out…..Was perusing Rise Against‘s site to see what they are up to and viola! A video teaser announced the band is working on a new record that will be released this year! THe band has been on hiatus for a couple of years now. Hmmm, as I wonder out loud, I don’t think they are still on Interscope, so I wonder what label or how they will release it!? But very happy to hear the news!!!!…And so sorry to hear about the passing of Shane Gibson. He was a back-up touring guitarist for Korn a few years ago. He was praised for his technical prowess. 35 is waaaaay too young to leave this planet. Condolences to his friends and family…..Later, taters!
