8 days til my vacation. Oh yeah Oh yeah Oh yeah! Sorry…..Pulse Of Radio reports Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, has reached out to the daughter of Robin Williams following the actor and comedian’s tragic death by suicide on Monday (Aug 11th.) Frances, whose father took his own life in 1994, wrote to her friend Zelda Williams on Twitter, “You have such an incredibly beautiful soul. I love you, but you already knew that. Wherever, whenever you need me, I’ll be there.” Frances was responding to a quote Zelda had posted from author Antoine De-Saint-Exupery as a message to her father. The quote read: “You — you alone will have the stars as no one else has them . . . In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night . . . You — only you — will have stars that can laugh.” Zelda, who is 25, is an actress and lives in San Francisco. Frances, who turns 22 next week, was just 20 months old when her father took his life at their home in Seattle in April 1994….Well, Black Veil Brides have announced a huge tour with Falling In Reverse, Set It Off and Drama Club. See Road Rage….Classic Rock reports Metallica frontman James Hetfield told the U.K.’s Hitradio that he relies on fans to give him a morale boost if he’s not in the right frame of mind during a show. Hetfield explained, “We’re all human, and sometimes we feel very communicative and sometimes we don’t. But most of the time, if I’m not feeling good and then we get up on stage, I just look at somebody in the eye and just say, ‘Hey, I need your help tonight.’ I mean, I’m not asking them directly, but through the eyes I’m asking them, ‘I need your help.’ And they give it to me, somehow.” Classic Rock, a magazine and website based in England, held a party last night in LA to launch their upcoming awards. According to USA Today, the Classic Rock Roll of Honour, celebrating its 10th year, is headed to America for the first time. Traditionally staged in London, the U.K. music awards show presented by Classic Rock magazine has enlisted Sammy Hagar as host for this year’s ceremonies on Nov. 4 at The Avalon in Hollywood. See past highlights here…And speaking of classic rock, Aerosmith was forced to cancel its Wednesday night show (August 13th) at Concord, California’s Concord Pavilion due to illness, according to a post on the band’s Facebook page. TMZ.com spoke to an unnamed band insider, who claims the band’s remaining dates will be scrapped due to health issues with drummer Joey Kramer. The site reported, “A member of the crew told us the 64-year-old will undergo heart surgery, but we could not confirm that. The group has now canceled the Concord, CA concert scheduled for Wednesday night. We’re also told members of the crew have been told the Washington show — scheduled for Saturday — will also be canceled.” Meanwhile, Slash is doing shows in these towns on his own. The San Francisco show was announced at 3 PM and went on at 9 at a local club. His camp just told me they are waiting to find out what is happening for the rest of the tour, so stay tuned! One of my roommates while I was in college in Boston dated Joey. We’d go see the band when they were just becoming a household name in Boston. I think they just got signed to Columbia. Ah, the good ole days! Wish Joey speedy recovery if indeed he is undergoing surgery! Back in 2012 CelebrityNetWorth.com ranked Joey Kramer the ninth richest drummer in rock, with a portfolio of $100 million. Other iconic drummers featured on the list include Ringo Starr with $300 Million, Phil Collins with $250 million, Dave Grohl – $225 Million, Don Henley – $200 Million, Chad Smith with a cool $90 million in the bank, and Black Sabbath’s estranged skinsman Bill Ward with $65 million (Thanks Pulse of Radio.)
