Big ups to these guys! Pulse Of Radio confirm Five Finger Death Punch launched a crowdfunding campaign by selling a jersey with the slogan “5FDP4VETS No One Gets Left Behind” on Indiegogo. The goal of raising $50,000 was more than doubled in less than two days, with the campaign raising over $100,000 for organizations supporting veterans suffering from PTSD. Fans who pledged money will receive a limited-edition jersey created and designed by guitarist Zoltan Bathory. The initial run of shirts ran out, and the band expanded it by 1,000 in order to keep up with the overwhelming demand. Five Finger Death Punch also hosted a special screening of the “Wrong Side Of Heaven” video this past Monday (August 11th) at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada for military personnel. The video has gathered over 500,000 views since its premiere online earlier this week.Meanwhile, if you’ve been living under a rock, then you missed the band debuted a new video earlier this week for the song “Wrong Side Of Heaven,” with the clip shining a spotlight on the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder and the plight of homeless U.S. military veterans. The band also begins its fall tour with Volbeat on Sep 16th in Salt Lake City…The Offspring have taken two tracks from their 2012 album Days Go By and merged them into one animated video the band has just released online. The animated action clip is set to the tunes “Dividing By Zero” and “Slim Pickens Does The Right Thing And Rides The Bomb to Hell.” The video follows a rebel warrior as he battles an evil angel of death in a post-apocalyptic world. The Offspring are currently headlining the Summer Nationals Tour and will resume work on new music later this year. (AntiMusic)…Tool drummer Danny Carey will perform with Primus on the band’s scheduled September tour dates, while original drummer Tim “Herb” Alexander continues his recovery from recent open-heart surgery. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Primus bassist/singer Les Claypool called Carey the perfect fill-in for Alexander, saying, “Whereas Herb is the stocky, Easter Island-faced, boulder of a drumming human, at nearer to seven feet. Danny Carey is the mighty redwood tree of percussion, towering over his kit like a golden-haired noble spruce.”….OK, let’s clear up some things: 1. Chris Adler of Lamb of God did NOT play drums on the new Slipknot album. 2. The report yesterday about Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer undergoing heart surgery could be true. But the tour with Slash will continue. Rumor is Joey’s son is filling in for him. 3. The new Nickelback single “Edge Of A Revolution” will turn some haters around. Meanwhile, speaking of Slash, who is hailed as one of the 10 best electric guitar players of all time by Time magazine, he’s joining forces with Universal Studios Hollywood to compose an original score for the theme park’s hypnotizing new 3D maze, “Clowns 3D Music by SLASH” at “Halloween Horror Nights,” beginning Friday, Sep 19, 2014. While partnering with top recording artists has become a signature of “Halloween Horror Nights,” (Rob Zombie was a part of this for years ’til he started his own Great American Nightmare) this collaboration with Slash marks the first time a musician has created an original maze score for the popular event. This inspired effort comes at a demanding time for Slash, whose new album “World on Fire” debuts on Sep 16, on the heels of his “Let Rock Rule” World Tour performing with Aerosmith. Needless to say, this attraction is not for those who suffer from “Coulrophobia,” a disturbing condition affecting those with an extreme and irrational fear of clowns!!! The psychedelic 3D maze will horrify guests, taunting and tempting them with terror and treats! “I’m a HUGE fan of ‘Halloween Horror Nights’ and was inspired to partner with Universal Studios Hollywood because they are the founders of creating extreme horror,” Slash said. “I’ve been composing music for as long as I can remember and jumped at the chance to be an integral part of this year’s event and create the original score for this creepy clown maze. I can’t wait to see the fans’ reactions and will be first in line to experience the maze myself.”….The Shindig Music Festival, is returning Saturday, Sept. 27 to Baltimore, MD’s Carroll Park with alt-rock legends Jane’s Addiction and punk rockers Rise Against anchoring a daylong, two-stage lineup in the city’s Pigtown district.
