Hello Tuesday! Working away on getting Lou Brutus‘ interviews lined up for Rockfest Cadott this weekend! You guys going will have a great time with this outstanding line-up!
Had a great time at SPAC yesterday (Saratoga Performing Arts Center) in Saratoga. Beautiful day. Got there late in the day to interview Nickelback. Got to hang for a bit with Nat Hunt from Shaman’s Harvest and saw the Daughtry guys doing their Meet & Greet. Had catering time with Mike and Andrea Kroeger, interview with Chad and a shot of Jameson with the band before the show.
Although I wish the interview lasted a little longer (he was 1/2 hr late, then they had a Meet & Greet) I think you will get to hear it in it’s entirety as a hardDrive DL podcast in the coming weeks! Damn, I didn’t get to ask about the Corey Taylor feud either!
Ivan Moodyposted a message on the Five Finger Death Punch Facebook page. It reads:
To All Five Finger Death Punch Fans:
I wanted to write to all of you and express my deep regret for not being able to finish the last few shows on our European summer tour.
I am in a treatment facility addressing the addiction issues that have interfered with everything in my life.
I love you guys and I love my band… It’s what I do and I can’t imagine my life without it. I am 100% committed to getting healthy so I can get back on stage with Five Finger Death Punch.
At this point, I AM ON TRACK TO RETURN TO THE BAND
WITH A VENGEANCE in Springfield, IL, when we begin the next leg of our North American tour dates. It’s my intention to sing at each and every future
show we are committed to, in North America and in Europe. I can’t wait to put all of this behind me and move forward.
I’d like to thank Tommy Vext for doing such a great job filling in for me while I was away. I’d like to thank my brothers in 5FDP for supporting me through these hard times. We’ve been through hell and back and we’re not gonna stop here. I would also like to thank my family & friends for standing behind me while I take care of what I need to regarding my health. But most importantly, I’d like to thank you, the fans, for your unwavering support as I recover. This has not been an easy year for me, but your encouragement and positivity is what keeps me going.
See all you Knuckleheads on August 19th!!

Marilyn Manson announced a month long tour beginning Sep 27th in Silver Spring, MD, ending up with a two-night stint in Las Vegas Oct 27-28. Tickets go on sale this Friday (Jul 14th). Manson will be hitting the road to support the arrival of his new album, Heaven Upside Down, which is due out sometime later this year.
Manson told us a while back that no one should ever expect a “safe” show from him: “The element of unpredictability and chaos always reigns free with Marilyn Manson because that’s what we’re about. And that’s never gonna change, no matter how much, you know, we bring to a show. It’s always gonna be raw, and that is what rock and roll is about, you know, as far as I’m concerned.”
Manson revealed last September that the new LP — which was originally expected in February — was described by people he played it to as a combination of his classic albums Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals. He explained at the time, “It wasn’t my intent to go backwards. Everything goes in a full circle and it just becomes, without cannibalizing work from the past, the same thing, which is ultimately you.”
The singer released several cryptic videos in April on his Instagram account which were thought at the time to be related to the release of his next album, which was originally titled SAY10.
Metallica‘s latest studio album, Hardwired…To Self-Destruct, has officially passed the one million mark in physical album sales in the U.S., selling another 4,000 copies last week to push the total sum to a little more than 1,004,000 actual CDs sold to date, not including streaming. This makes it the group’s 12th release to sell at least a million copies in the States since Nielsen Music began tracking sales in 1991. The disc went platinum in April for sales of more than one million equivalent album units, blending traditional album sales, digital tracks and on-demand audio streams. (HenneMusic)
Stone Sour‘s new album, Hydrograd, became the group’s fifth consecutive effort to debut in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 album chart, as it moved 33,000 copies to land at Number Eight in its first week of release. The disc also fared well on several other charts, entering the Top Current Albums chart, the Top Rock Albums chart and the Top Hard Rock Albums chart all in the top spot. (Loudwire)
Foo Fighters debuted another new song on tour in Europe, the sixth to be previewed from the band’s upcoming Concrete And Gold album. The track, called “Arrows,” was given its first live airing at the Acropolis in Greece on Monday night (July 10th). Footage has been posted online. The song follows the other recent concert debuts of “The Sky Is A Neighborhood,” “Run,” “La Dee Da,” “Sunday Rain” and “Dirty Water.” (Stereogum)
