The first annual Las Rageous festival has been announced for April 21st & 22nd in Las Vegas, NV. Bands you’ll see on the stage include Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold, Breaking Benjamin, Mastodon, Killswitch Engage and many more! There will also be a wealth of food trucks and a freakshow. Pearl Jam will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year by rock legend Neil Young. The band has a long history with the singer, including a live cover of “Rockin’ In The Free World” in their sets, opening for Young on tour, and playing several charity events together. The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Friday, April 7th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. An edited version of the ceremony will air later in the spring on HBO.
Alice In Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell has contributed a song called “A Job To Do” to the soundtrack of the upcoming action thriller John Wick: Chapter 2. According to Blabbermouth, the soundtrack will be released digitally on February 10th in conjunction with the opening of the movie, while the physical version will arrive on March 3rd. Cantrell performed the song with help from Marilyn Manson collaborator Tyler Bates, who also composed the score for the film. In the meantime, Alice in Chains is working on the follow-up album to 2013’s “The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here,” we hope to hear some new music by the end of the year.
Ozzy Osbourne has walked back comments he made less than six months ago in which he admitted to having a sex addiction, shortly after it was revealed that he had been carrying on a years-long affair with a celebrity hairstylist. But now speaking to U.K. outlet The Times, Ozzy claimed that his problem was not being a sex addict, but being a rock star. He explained, “I’m in a f**king rock band, aren’t I? There have always been groupies. I just got caught, didn’t I? It was a bump in the road. I don’t think I’m a f**king sex addict.” Well, when you’re one of the most recognized rock stars in the world, seems people will throw themselves at you.
