Gonna be hotLining today with Lzzy Hale of Halestorm.  Love my girl.  Can’t wait to hear the rest of their new album, Into The Wild Life. The album drops April 7th  and you can pre-order at www.halesmtormrocks.com.  The band announced they’re headlining this year’s Carnival of Madness tour with The Pretty Reckless and another band TBA. Fan club tickets are on sale today at 10 AM local time and Friday, general sale tickets go up at 10 AM local time.  If you have questions, send ‘em along right away via the interact link on the home page….Pulse of Radio reports on my friends All That Remains. The band unveiled “This Probably Won’t End Well,” the first single from their new album. The Order Of Things and arrives on February 24th. Singer Phil Labonte told me how the song was chosen as the first representation of the new CD: “The song’s like, you know, it’s kind of more of a rock song. That wasn’t what we initially thought was gonna be the first single, you know, when we were writing. I mean, the song came together and we were like, ‘You know, this one’s really cool,’ and then the label came in and were like, ‘We want to put this one out first,’ and we were like, ‘Really?’ And they were like, ‘Yeah,’ and we were like, ‘Okay, it’s cool with us, you know, it’s not a — we’re proud of the whole record.”   The Order Of Things follows up 2012′s A War You Cannot Win, which featured the massive rock singles ”What If I Was Nothing” and the chart-topping “Stand Up.” Labonte, however, has dismissed that record, saying recently in Revolver, “I think I could have done better. I could have had stuff that was a little more compelling — especially in some of the heavier songs.”  Labonte has said The Order Of Things will “make a significant statement about what we can do as a band. I think it’s going to do really good things for us.”  All That Remains will begin a North American tour with In Flames  and Wovenwar on February 20th in Agoura Hills, CA.  See Road Rage…Pulse also reports Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo revealed in a new post at Twitter the band spent time last week writing new music with singer Chester Bennington, with the group headed into the recording studio on Monday (Jan 12th). STP’s first effort with Bennington on vocals, an EP called High Rise, came out in October 2013. It’s not clear whether the group will now be making a full album. STP have kept a relatively low profile since completing their first full tour with Bennington at the end of 2013.   The vocalist spent much of 2014 recording and touring with his primary act, Linkin Park.  Robert DeLeo acknowledged a while back that STP would work around Bennington’s schedule with Linkin Park: “His main concern definitely is Linkin Park and, you know, when he’s busy with them, it offers Dean (DeLeo, guitar) and Eric (Kretz, drums) and myself some time to really get some new music together. And when he’s available, that’s when we work, man, and we make the best of that time.” Bennington joined STP in the spring of 2013 after the band fired original singer Scott Weiland over what they claimed was his erratic behavior and putting his solo career ahead of the band’s. STP and Weiland launched lawsuits against each other at the time, although the results of both legal actions have not been revealed….Consequence of Sound reports Foo Fighters have been announced as the headliners of the 2015 Hangout Music Festival, scheduled for May 15th through the 17th in Gulf Shores, AL. Also on the bill are Beck, the Zac Brown BandSkrillexMy Morning JacketFoster The PeoplePhantogramParamore, the Dirty Heads and many more…Marilyn Manson‘s new album, The Pale Emperor, is now streaming online in its entirety via Soundcloud. The shock-rocker’s ninth studio set arrives on Jan 20th. The first single is called “Deep Six.” Manson will kick off his Hell Not Hallelujah tour on Jan 21st in Washington D.C., ending three weeks later in Las Vegas…Gigwise reports former Lostprophets frontman and convicted pedophile Ian Watkins may be set to receive a cash sum of over $220,000 from the sale of the band’s management company. Currently serving a 35-year sentence for child abuse and pornography charges, Watkins may come into the money as a result of the liquidation of the company, which held more than one million dollars in cash and assets. A source told the Mirror, “(Watkins) is entitled to the money because it is cash earned by the band before this scandal broke. Many people will feel revulsion that he will have a nice little nest egg waiting for him when he’s freed but it is his cash and it will go to him.”….Oh my gosh!  Showtime is “rebooting” Twin Peaks! HBO’s The Game of Thrones is back April 7th. Orange Is The New Black in June!

I’ve had a fly in my apartment now for several days. All my attempts to squash this little irritating winged beast have failed. I’ve even been leaving my apartment door open in hopes he would fly away, but no!   He greets me when I wake up, when I’m in the bathroom, in the kitchen, and right now he’s buzzing me while I am typing.  I CAN’T TAKE IT!   Feeling like a character in a Kafka book…Black Stone Cherry posted a “thank you” video on their Facebook  telling fans this hardDrive Live Tour was their best tour ever!   That makes this lady very proud!  Many thanks again to Black Stone, We As Human, Kyng and Fifth Freedom for a great time!  Share your hardDrive Live Tour pics and memories on the hardDriveRadio APP and our Facebook and Twitter too!….Nickelback has released the lyric video for “Edge Of A Revolution,” the first single from the Canadian act’s upcoming eighth studio album. The yet-to-be-titled disc is due out on November 4th through the band’s new deal with Republic Records. Frontman Chad Kroeger said, “We are very excited to be releasing new music for our fans and feel it’s some of our strongest material to date. During the recording process as we looked toward the next chapter, it became clear that . . . the entire Republic/Universal team had a shared vision and passion for this project. Their track record of artist development speaks volumes to their success and we are honored to be partners with them.”  Check out the lyric video here….Multi-platinum band Bush have announced an Oct 21st release date for their highly anticipated new album, Man On The Run (Zuma Rock Records/RAL). The band’s 6th studio album  will contain thee lead single “The Only Way Out,” which hits radio, iTunes, Amazon and all major retailers on Sep 9th. Bush (vocalist/guitarist Gavin Rossdale, guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz and drummer Robin Goodridge) recorded Man On The Run with Grammy-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Mastodon, Deftones, Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains) at Studio 606, the Northridge, CA-based studio owned by Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.  Bush has also teamed with PledgeMusic for a special campaign offering fans a chance to take a behind-the-scenes look at the new album, along with a number of Pledge exclusives including limited-edition vinyl, hand-written lyrics, pre-order opportunities and more. To view the campaign, please visit this site…..Speaking of Dave,   he is so clever.  He took his Ice Bucket Challenge to the next level with this (which includes Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel & Pat Smear, but no Shifty Shiflett?)  Can’t wait for new Foo Fighters music.  Dunno why they are being so tight-lipped about the single and when it’s coming  but there ya go.  Eddie Vedder, Duff McKagan and Corey Taylor have also done their own ice water bathing.  Wonder where this will all end?….Congrats to Like A Storm and Rev Theory who just signed to the Another Century label, which was founded by the former head of Century Music.  Hearing good things about the new Rev Theory, another former hardDrive Live Tour band, too! ….Happy 66th today to Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin fame. Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit is 44.
